In the second week of February 2026, the hotel industry delivered a busy slate of openings, conversions, and forward announcements. Marriott put its first all-inclusive into the Tribute Portfolio, Hyatt added a New Jersey golf resort to Destination by Hyatt, and Radisson Collection picked up a Lake Como palazzo. Looking further ahead, IHG, Hyatt, and Nobu confirmed projects that will shape award redemptions through 2029.

Three months later, the Marriott and Hyatt conversions are bookable, the Calala Island promotion window has closed, and the longer-lead projects remain on schedule per their parent companies. Here is what landed in February and what it now means for points members.

Marriott's First Tribute Portfolio All-Inclusive Opens in Barbados

Crystal Cove, Barbados joined Marriott Bonvoy in February 2026 as the first all-inclusive resort under the Tribute Portfolio flag. The 88-room property on Barbados's west coast launched with cash rates from $447 per night, all-inclusive. Award charts had not loaded at launch, which is standard for newly converted Bonvoy properties; integration into the points system typically takes two to four weeks.

The boutique scale matters here. Tribute Portfolio is Marriott's collection of independent hotels with distinct identities, and Crystal Cove sits at the small end of the all-inclusive category. For Bonvoy members earning through co-branded Amex cards, the property gives free-night certificates a Caribbean target once award pricing posts.

Hyatt Adds a Category 4 New Jersey Resort and Radisson Picks Up Lake Como

The Seaview Hotel & Golf Club in Galloway, New Jersey joined Destination by Hyatt in the same week, bringing 312 rooms and suites and a championship golf course into the World of Hyatt program at Category 4. That puts standard award nights at 12,000 points, with peak pricing capped at 15,000 and off-peak at 10,000.

The 12,000-point floor is the news. Category 1-4 free night certificates from the World of Hyatt Credit Card and Brand Explorer cover Seaview outright. Cash rates begin around $158, so members are looking at roughly 1.3 cents per point at the standard tier. For East Coast Globalists chasing suite upgrades on weekends, a coastal golf resort within drive distance of New York and Philadelphia is a useful add.

Radisson Collection added Palazzo San Gottardo Lake Como to its European portfolio the same week, a 70-room hotel in a 1926 building on the Italian lake. Cash rates start at $322, and Radisson Rewards uses dynamic pricing averaging around 0.25 cents per point. The honest read for points members: pay cash here, hold the Radisson points for properties where the dynamic pricing breaks more favorably.

Pipeline Announcements: London, Port Moresby, Utah, and the Maldives

Hotel Indigo London K West Shepherd's Bush, a 231-room conversion in West London, was scheduled to open April 1, 2026, with cash rates from $177. IHG One Rewards members earning through the Premier Card now have another central-London option to compare against the InterContinental Park Lane and Kimpton Fitzroy on cash rates and points pricing.

IHG also confirmed InterContinental Port Moresby for late 2028, a 179-room property in Papua New Guinea's capital. Award travelers should file this one. Reaching Port Moresby from North America requires multi-segment routings on Star Alliance partners, which means premium-cabin award space is the binding constraint, not the hotel. Building point balances in transferable currencies for the airline side is the real prep work.

Hyatt's Andaz brand confirmed Andaz Heber Valley in Utah for 2029, the first Andaz designed for year-round mountain operations. The 85-room property will sit between Park City's established ski terrain and the quieter side of the Wasatch Range, about 45 minutes from Salt Lake City. World of Hyatt members shopping for ski-country redemption options now have a target for the back end of the decade.

Nobu Hospitality confirmed its Maldives debut, with 26 beach villas, 30 overwater villas, and 10 private-island Nobu Estate Residences. No opening date was announced, and the property will not be tied to a major hotel loyalty program, so cash-rate booking is the only redemption path. Treat this as a cash-pay aspirational stay rather than a points target.

Calala Island Promotion Closed and Grand Hyatt DFW Reopened

Two smaller items closed out the week. Calala Island, the private-island resort in Nicaragua's Caribbean waters, announced a 10th anniversary promotion in early February paying $2,510 per booking via wire transfer for both cash and award stays of four nights or more, booked by May 10, 2026, with travel through June 10, 2027. Award stays on Hilton Honors run 240,000 points per night. The booking window has now closed. Honored bookings stay valid through the June 2027 travel deadline.

Grand Hyatt DFW completed its $34 million renovation in February, started in July 2025. The project lifted the room count from 298 to 315, redesigned the lobby, refreshed the restaurant and meeting facilities, and added indoor-outdoor event space with runway views. World of Hyatt members staying overnight between flights at Dallas/Fort Worth now have a refreshed Cat 5 product to consider against the Hyatt Regency and Hyatt Place options at the airport.

What This Means for Points Members in May 2026

Three months after the announcements, the actionable list is short. Crystal Cove Barbados and Seaview New Jersey are bookable, with Seaview the clearer points win at Category 4. Hotel Indigo Shepherd's Bush is open if the April timeline held. Palazzo San Gottardo is bookable but priced for cash. The Port Moresby, Heber Valley, and Nobu Maldives projects are forward markers, useful for shaping point accumulation strategy across Chase Ultimate Rewards, Bonvoy, and World of Hyatt over the next two to three years.

For Bonvoy members planning Caribbean stays, the Brilliant and Boundless cards remain the most direct earning vehicles tied to the new Crystal Cove inventory. For Hyatt members, the World of Hyatt Credit Card's free night certificate is the most efficient way to redeem at Seaview.
